Giulio Mazzalupi Operational Excellence Award for team of Airtec division

A team from the Airtec division of Atlas Copco Airpower in Wilrijk has won the Atlas Copco Group Giulio Mazzalupi Operational Excellence Award 2026 for their groundbreaking use of sand printing as a casting technology.

The winning team receives the award for pioneering the use of sand printing as a casting technology for the production of oil-free elements in compressors, resulting in significantly improved process efficiency and quality, as well as reduced material waste and energy consumption.

The Giulio Mazzalupi Operational Excellence Award has been awarded annually since 2018 and aims to recognize an individual or team for significant contributions to improving and executing processes focused on delivering products or services to customers in the best, most sustainable, cost-effective, and timely way.

Victor Adriaens, Rob Hoogmartens, Stijn Bosmans, and Kris Panis from the Airtec division within the Compressor Technique Business Area are being honored with this award for their outstanding work.
