Welder I

Main Responsibilities 

•    TIG welding during the manufacturing of Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) Ion Pumps
•    Follow manufacturing travelers and blueprints to meet product specifications
•    Calculate material measurements to verify specifications
•    Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance
•    Follow quality procedures and document as necessary
•    Recommend manufacturability improvements to Engineering
•    Maintain commitment to safety, ethics, professionalism, and teamwork.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience

•    We are seeking a candidate with at least 0-2 years of TIG welding experience. 
•    Certification is not required but is preferred.
•    Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields
•    Prefer at least two years of TIG welding experience.
•    TIG welding experience on Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) products a strong plus
•    Familiarity with all forms of welding materials/metals
•    Familiarity with welding tools and procedures
•    Familiarity with engineering blueprints, schematics, and weld symbols
•    Ability to handle physical workload
•    Willing to learn and be mentored
•    Self-starter capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision
