Both donations were made possible thanks to the generosity of Canadian employees who contribute regularly to Water for All, with contributions double matched by Atlas Copco’s Canadian business units.
The funding supports Water First’s Drinking Water Internship Program, which is delivered in collaboration with Indigenous community partners. Through this program, Water for All is helping fund over 1,800 hours of hands-on training for 8–12 Indigenous interns, building confidence and readiness to enter the field as drinking water operators. This initiative strengthens local capacity in Indigenous communities to manage water resources independently.

Access to safe, clean water remains a pressing issue in Canada. As of September 2025, 18% of First Nations communities in Canada are affected by drinking water advisories. In Ontario, that number rises to 27%. Water First has collaborated with over 90 Indigenous communities on meaningful, co-created water science training and education projects across Canada, demonstrating a strong commitment to lasting results through collaboration.
Since 2010, Water for All North America has donated nearly $4 million to water-related causes, including projects that bring clean drinking water to families in local communities. For every dollar an employee gives, Atlas Copco contributes two—tripling the impact.
