Sarah Tuhkanen – Compressor Technique

Sarah Tuhkanen is currently studying for her Master’s degree in industrial engineering and management at Chalmers University of Technology.

Her summer project was with the Compressor Technique business area, mapping customer center processes in the Scandinavian region. After a change in the way of working and the implementation of a new ERP solution, Atlas Copco customer centers in the Scandinavian region are looking for a clear description of processes and procedures. The project is initiated in order to provide clarity, clear responsibility and accountability on the working processes in the customer centers. This should lead to effectiveness and efficiency of the people and the organization.

Sarah interviewed employees and mapped the way of working and how business tasks are executed. She documented current operational processes – ‘Quote to Cash’ – and created procedure documents for all business processes. She also tracked the way product- and other business information flows through the company.
