The role

  • Inventory Control:
    • Perform regular row audits including cycle counts and verification.
    • Analyze service center inventory levels.
    • Put together and recommend action plans to reduce inventory, while maximizing availability and delivery performance.
    • Drive action plan implementation with customer center representatives and oversee follow up and progress.
  • Logistics for Capital Equipment
    • ​​​​​​​Process, track and expedite customer purchase orders including entering and maintaining/editing sales orders to meet customer demands.
    • Provide updates to internal and external customers regarding orders, including delivery dates and/or changes in the status of an order.
    • Coordinate order releases, receipts and shipments to customers including all transports.
  • Service Coordination
    • ​​​​​​​Receive incoming calls for service and startup of new capital equipment and schedule all shop and field service jobs.
    • Work with the Service Center Manager to coordinate the activities of the service department and maximize Service Technician utilization.
    • Confirm service schedules with customers and technicians.
    • Secure purchase orders for service work and verify terms and conditions with the customers.
    • Order, track, follow up and expedite parts as needed.
  • Process Control
    • ​​​​​​​Focus on development and continuous improvement of business processes and best practices.
    • Create systems to support customer centers and sales channels.
    • Determine the requirements and specifications for business support systems.
    • Analyze business data and convert business intelligence to proactively change aftermarket operations.
    • Facilitate input from all business and support areas to achieve the desired results.

Skills and experience

  • Experience in the mining and construction industry is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Marketing, Finance or related; or equilvalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in a Customer Center environment including logistics, sales, service, and operational processes in a plus.
  • Able to manage and prioritize workload.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing continuous improvement and change management programs.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram or schedule form. 

Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate level knowledge of email software; word processing software; spreadsheet software; Accounting software and Contact Management system.
